Our history

In 1869 Michele Mannucci – an Intellectual Property lawyer – founded one of the first Italian firms specialized in Intellectual Property. In the following decades, the firm has evolved and is now one of the most well-known Italian firms in this strategic area.
The firm has developed a wide expertise and professional skill in all areas of Intellectual Property (patents, trademarks, utility models, industrial designs, appellations of origin, domain names, protection of computer software).
We assist clients in filing, prosecuting and enforcing intellectual property rights, as well as in administrative and legal in-court and out-of-court disputes.
The firm provides professional advice and represents clients both in Italy and, through a network of foreign associates selected throughout many decades of activity, in all foreign countries.
With the ratification of important International Treaties and Conventions (Patent Cooperation Treaty, European Patent Convention) and the entry into force of EU Regulations relating to IP (European Union Trademark Regulation and Community Design Regulation) new opportunities are now available for applicants looking for an international protection of their Intellectual Property rights. In these supranational procedures, our qualified professionals, admitted to represent before supranational and EU bodies established by the above mentioned regulations and international conventions, represent clients directly.
